427R Mustangs :tup Last week Roush Fenway Racing gave nearly 200 journalists the opportunity to ride shotgun with the team's NASCAR Drivers in 427R Mustangs. The hot laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway were part of this season's NASCAR Sprint Media Tour. For some of the pro drivers, it was their first time behind the wheel of a 427R Mustang. What did they think? Well, Colin Braun, driver of the No. 6 Con-Way Freight Ford Mustang said, "I was really impressed at how nimble the ROUSH Mustang was, especially for a street car. I like how it sounds. It is a really cool car." David Ragan, driver of the No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series said, "This is the first time I've had a ROUSH Mustang on a road course track and you can really get into the turns hard. It was a lot of fun to drive." I spent a week behind the wheel of the 2010 427R Mustang last summer. As Colin noted, the car has one seriously aggressive exhaust note. Check out my test drive for the full review. |
I have ALWAYS preferred the Roush over the Saleen. Unless Carl Edwards is a liar he loves the Mustangs:tup

^^^same here. I love Roush Mustangs, always had a thing for the 427R's since I seen one rolling down the street for the first time. Like the article says, they have such a mean exhaust note.
