1967 Mustang All Wheel Drive
I was just reading about Ford's interest in AWD Mustangs. Seems they partnered up with the Ferguson Tractor Company in England to come up with a front axle for the AWD Mustang. Ford eventually decided against it as the production cost would price them out of the market. A few prototypes were built. Some of the Ferguson engineers kept doing research after Ford pulled out and some 1968 Mustangs were equipped with AWD for the executives of the company. Then time passed and all was forgotten until a 1968 Ford Mustang AWD was found stored in a Dutch barn. It is in pretty rough shape cosmeticaly even if it was inside. The ownership was not disclosed or if it was for sale. l saw all this with a picture of the car on the internet. The front axle and motor are removed from the car. It would be a very rare 'Stang for sure.

Interesting, I'd never heard this before.

Is that '68 AWD the one with the 7.0L twin turbo?

Just type in Ford Mustang Four Wheel Drive or facimilie, what comes up is the story of Ford and the Ferguson Tractor company in England. It was actually 1965 when Ford and Ferguson teamed up for an AWD Mustang...it and no , it wasn't a 7.0 Liter twin turbo..just a chance for you to broaden your narrow mind. ! Chevrolet built a v8 engine in 1918...it wasn't a 7.0 twin turbo either !

Amazing , I fired up the Google machine and hit it...I feel enlightened and broadened at the same time, thanks !
