I didnt say he should install long tubes, I meant that he should install unequal length shorty headers. And install isnt the only problem, changing spark plugs is a bitch. The only headers that are pretty well built and have good clearance are the BBK EQ length's. I had Mac Equal lengths and they sucked the big one

i know you didnt say that . my post was about Mac EQ lenth shorty , not long tube , and i never had probleme whit my Mac EQ lenth headers , sorry if I badly explained my story :bleh:

No worries, I was under the impression that you thought I was talking about long tubes for some reason.

my mustang has the stock 4 cats and flowmasters and it sucks too quiet!!!!

The exhaust setup you describe should give a decent power increase, expect 10-20hp. One thing to consider is the sound, it will sound good, but very loud, also Flowmaster mufflers on a 5.0 tend to drone quite a bit-especially without cats, that's your call though, if it was me, I'd be running Dynomax Super-Turbo mufflers, they're subdued at idle, but loud on accel, and exibit minimal drone. My '93 has equal-length headers, they are harder to install than shorties and give maybe a 2 hp gain over them, PITA to HP gain ratio is not good enough IMO. Long tubes are much harder to install but would yeild a tad more power, still not enough to justify the install for me.
