Yea, its kinda neat when you know what the heck your V.I.N. means. My V.I.N. told me, among other things, that:
- My Mustang was the 8,874'th Mustang made in 1997 out of a total of 108,344 Mustangs. - My Mustang was only 1 of 56,812 Coupe V6 Models. - My Mustang was 1 of 20,944 Black Mustangs made in 1997 - by far the MOST popular colour. Well, she's not exactly "Limited Edition" but she's a collectors item to me! |
but mine isnt there
mine is 6 on my vin Engine Displacement/Number of Cylinders 4 - 3.8L, EFI, six cylinder C - 5.8L, Cobra R, eight cylinder D - 5.0L, Cobra, eight cylinder T - 5.0L, H.O, eight cylinder X - 4.6L, EFI (SOHC), eight cylinder W - 4.6L, EFI (SOHC), eight cylinder V - 4.6L, EFI (DOHC), eight cylinder Y - 4.6-liter, DOHC 4-valve V-8 engine, eight cylinder, Supercharged |
Your new name threw me for a loop. tehehe I found my stats from a Shelby/Svt thingy

When I first started decoding the VIN and door data plate on my car, it felt overwhelming because all those letters and numbers don’t mean much until you really dig into them. After taking the time to break everything down, I was able to confirm the original engine, body style, and paint code, which helped me understand what was factory and what had been changed over the years. I even compared that process with checking factory build details for other vehicles using https://carfast.express/en/window_sticker/dodge through a dodge window sticker lookup, and it works in a similar way by showing the exact options and specs the vehicle had when it left the factory.
