2003 mustang Gt stalled in neutral while heat was blasted
Trying to figure what the issue is with the car. It’s sending out an error code p0113. Maf, iac? The car stalled in neutral and the rpms fluctuate when the car is started. It jumps from 1000-2500.. back down back up. What could be the issue? Car was warmed up too. |
Fluctuating RPM's with heater on
What you described sounds to me like an AIV acting up. My Sn95 was doing that. I removed the AIV and cleaned it with brake cleaner and misted some oil onto the piston so it wouldn't stick, then went through the process of setting base idle and yes accessories running will affect idle. Here is the procedure.
Disconnect neg terminal (batt Disconnect AIV Reconnect neg terminal Start engine Set RPM with stop screw Turn off engine Reconnect AIV Start engine all accessories off Run for two minutes Shut off for two minutes Run for two minutes all accessories on EECiv(computer} should have "learned" the new idle spec Its a fairly easy adjustment and set up. My car now idles a little over 600 and the fluctuation in RPMS has stopped |
