2010 Mustang GT PATS System reset
My 2010 Mustang GT has red padlock and spanner showing on the speedo display.
Apparantly the PATS system is active. This occurred when trying to start the car when of the connectors wher not connected in the BUS system. Does anyone know how to reset? At the moment the car cannot be started as it thinks its been stolen. The problem is that Ford Australia does not support this vehicle as it is not part of the range in Australia, so going to a dealer is useless as no one has any knowledge of it. It is a Left hand to right drive conversion and its during this conversion process where the problem happened. |

When you turn the key to crank does it change at all? |

The light is on solid. If you turn the key it stays on solid, the other ignition lights come on. EG Alt, etc but nothing happens if you try and crank it over to start.

Great Thanks for that. The next question would be where/how can I get one in Australia. Is there somewhere in Canada I can purchase.

I spoke to our shop foreman and he explained that if there are codes present they will have to be cleared before the car will start. In order to do this a scanner is required but a Ford scanner is not available for the general public to buy. He said as far as he knows a good quality scanner such as Snap On should be able to do it.

give Chad some props for that
