2011 Mustang To Get 5.0 V8 Engine
Ford really has a hard time keeping secrets. It was just yesterday we posted up a poll asking you what the big surprise was that Ford was going to reveal about the Mustang later this year and now it seems like we have that answer. According to a source the 2011 Mustang will get the same engine as the 2011 Ford F150, a 5.0 V8 dubbed ‘Coyote’. The V8 will put out 400HP in the F150, which we can only assume will be the same in the Mustang. If not exactly, it will be very close. This is great news for those of us that shook our heads at the 2010 Mustang’s lack of horsepower change over the 2009 model. Hope it looks like a foxbody too! |
Yup not too shabby. What I'm hoping is that the current line of s/c's won't be compatible. That way they will have to design all new ones and hopefully the cost of the current ones will finally drop.
It doesn't hurt to dream. :laughhard |
Its about time the Mustang other than the Cobras got a higher hp engine. Our 300hp GT is quick but I can only imagine what another 100hp would do.

^^^I was shooting at so food and up from the ground came a bubbling crude^^^ More hp is a good thing:tup

Anyways, yeah, good to see the 5.0L come back.Sucks for us guys though with the small hp 281 2V  Now we got to work harder LOL!

More HP is awesome. We're gonna need it. The standard issue Chevy Camaro SS has been tested. It's running 13.0 flat in the 1/4.
Handling / Braking we are still pretty even. Despite the mustang having a live axle and the camaro having IRS. |
the more hp the best
