2013 Boss 302 Work In Progress Update

Headers, Catback, Side Pipe, and Rear Spring work is completed. Cervini Ram Air Type IV with under hood ducting is in progress still. Boss 302 original striping design will be completed early next week (ironically one of the most expensive components of the upgrade!).

I posted a couple of tweets with work in progress pics/videos:

Shout out to West Side Performance in Blenheim, specifically Brett who has done an awesome job with the car thus far, and to Mark at Magnum Signs in Chatham who is about to embark on the challenging Boss 302 3M reflective tape striping on the hood early next week!

Looks awesome. Sounds good. Need to rev it so we can hear the bark from those kooks side pipes. Post some pictures when the hood is stripe.

Looks really good. Sounds nice too. How is it when you are on the throttle with the exhaust exiting the sides?

I would think it is awesome.

Update ----- I had the Boss for 24h this past weekend. I picked it up Saturday morning and returned it Sunday night. The 3M Reflective material is set to arrive today (Monday) so the Boss is back at the shop for hood striping, under hood air duct, and washer fluid hose relocation. I'm hoping to get it back on Wednesday.

Although i did not have time to capture any videos, I did have a chance to get the car out, and giver her a good run. Wow is all i can say. I was either smiling or laughing as i was cruising around town or on the open road. The Boss absolutely SCREAMS from 4k to redline, and is noticeably more responsive. I'm not surprised it's such an audible difference, but did not expect the seat of your pants difference that i notice. And when it's screaming at high RPM it by no means sounds too high pitched, or whiney, or anything other than exactly how it should sound. Just like a race car, stock car, some sort of beast being unleashed and letting the world know that you're coming. Truly amazing... and HUGE shout out to Dave for posting the details of his setup that i could simply 'steal' for my own.

As part of my 24h, i was able to go on my first "Ice Cream Cruise" with a group of local folks that we do bi-weekly from now through October. Only 5 could make it this time, inclusive of an M3, 2 Porsche, and mini copper S. Out in the sticks we were opening the cars up a bit, and I dropped her in 4th and let her wail. I blew by them between 6k - redline with the engine/exhaust roaring full on. When we stopped for ice cream, all of them commented how incredibly amazing the Boss sounded, and that they thought they were at a Nascar race and were being lapped by someone.

I'll definitely get videos posted, but it'll be about a week. Busy weekend coming up out of town.. the Boss will hopefully be home, but sleeping.
