Inquiry/Concerns: RE, ENGINE TICK.I TOOK MY CAR TO KEYSTONE FORD MAY26,, THEY HAD CAR FOR 2 DAYS.THEY SAY THERE OTHER NEW VEHICLES ON LOT WITH THE SAME NOISE,, SOME LOUDER. THERE ARE SERVICE BULITINS OUT FROM U.S ...TSB21550 AND 497000...SSM?21550..HAS ANYONE HERE HEARD OF A UPPER CAMSHAFT NOISE, ....THIS WAS MY REPLY FROM FORD CANADA....We regret the circumstances which have prompted you to contact us.

I had a similar problem with a 2000 Chevy Malibu. It did it when new (dealer handled it just like yours) and was still doing it when I sold it nine years later. Never got any worse.

It's not uncommon, they are a noisy engine but we haven't had any issues with them.

Same for the Hemi but not yet on mine
