3.73 gears ok?

Ok, before I get dumped on. I know that 4.10 gears would be best for my 99 v6 automatic, but I got a great deal on a T-loc and set of 3.73 gears. The original gears are 3.27's. I do drive the car on long trips, and will be driving this summer to the International Mustang Meet in Edmonton this year.

My questions are; Would I get any worthwhile improvement with the 3.73's ?, and should I stick with them over a possible change to 4.10's, due to the highway gas mileage?

Has anyone here used the 3.73's with an automatic?

And yes , I do have a tuner.

Not "dumping" on you but you are making a huge mistake going with 3.73 in an auto....

Flip the 3.73's and go 4.10

I second that. The RPM's are only a tad higher, maybe 200rpm. the SOTP feel is well worth the time to sell those and get some 4.10's :tup
