4.6 exhaust tech???

Has anyone gone from stock manifolds-shorty headers with an aftermarket 2.5" H pipe to long tubes and kept the same H pipe?I'm looking for someone that just cut the H or X pipe off and joined it to the long tubes.
Thanks Dil

I have seen people modify aftermarket mid pipes to work with long tubes, but it is not really worth the time and effort.

If you are going to be putting on long tubes, why run a stock H pipe which is just a huge bottleneck.

Well the main reason for this post is I'm looking for the 2 pieces of pipe not used when this is done.It has to be 2.5",one side is a ball and socket and the other a flat flange.
I just hate to cut up a good H-X pipe.

Ooops, thought I read stock H-Pipe somewhere. Sometime multi tasking is not a good idea :bleh: If you hate to cut up a pipe, you can sell the one you have for good money and put that towards a new one for LT's
