Aluminum Driveshaft

Thinking about installing a one piece aluminum driveshaft. Looking for some feed back, pros + cons. Wondering if they gets rid of some of the clunkiness in the driveline?

I'm running a 4" aluminum one piece driveshaft in my '07. It made a big difference. The car is much smoother and vibe free on the highway now. I weighed both 'shafts when I put it in, and the difference was just shy of 10lbs. Here's where I got mine...

My buddy spares no expense and with his he has driveline shake

^^^ this is common. Exactly why I haven't upgraded mine - don't want the hassle.

I must be lucky. I actually lost a lot of shake when I changed mine over.

That's the problem I have with this, some guys like them, others have issues with them. From the little research I've done looks like Dynotech is the one to go with, If I do get one.

Smart to do your homework, but you'll find pros and cons no matter what. If you think it's a smart place to spend your money, go for it.

to me the shake would be so frustrating

Yea. I know how toy feel. It's an upgrade I've debated for quite some time myself. In the end I'll probably give it a try. I definetly won't be throwing out the old drive shaft for quite some time just in case.

I had a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft on my 89 LX and it worked fine but I have heard of some issues with the 05 up cars.
