AODE -> 5spd .. opinions/help/suggestions please
 

I'm VERY seriously wanting to swap my 97 auto over to a 5spd ... I need to know if any of you guys have done it, and how much it would cost. I'm lookin to go with used parts (hopefully thanks to the classifides) and have the labour done either fully by a local shop, or (preferably) shared between myseld and someone else who's willing to do the work and just tell me what to do. I guess the most useful info for me right now would be 1) the amount of time a shop should be charging me for a swap, and 2) the parts I'd need to get together and their costs.
I'll do some research of my own, but if anyone can help out, that'd be great!

parts needed off the top of my head are transmission bell houseing flywheel clutch pedal assembly clutch cable and i think a drive shaft and a computer. contact a member lx351 he had everthing needed to do this for sake a while back

awesome, thans for the info! I'll see if I can find that guy. Do you happen to know what I should be looking at paying for parts (used), and about how many hours a shop would charge me to do this?
