I would have to take my brother in law with me and he is 2 hours away and there's something to be said for buying lightly used. We all know what the great points of buying used are so I will not elaborate further tehehe.

As an example I have a buddy that has an 06gt with approx 15,000 k's and 30+ coats of polish/wax. Needless to say the car looks great and is low mileage. Here's my problem, the guy bags on the car at the dragstrip and I have even seen him driving in the city at warp factor 9.8. Some say our cars are meant to be thrashed on but I disagree.

Good idea to take someone else with you - as for the beating on the '06 GT, please refer to my "forgot to mention I beat the living heck out of my car every chance I get" statement! Check the rear wheel wells for shredded rubber! Take care of your stuff and it will last - just because you CAN beat the crap out of it doesn't mean you SHOULD !!! lol

Ahh yes, beware the low mileage deal 'that's-too-good-to-be-true' put on 1/4 mile at a time!

Don't worry about it Snakebite - anyone around these parts know how good you treat your stuff, and you always sell at crazy good prices, so finding a buyer will be no prob I think.

Auction

The Barrett Auction is fun to watch. But paying the prices they do for some of the cars is out of this world. I guess when you have so much money it does not matter. And to top of the guilt of all their wealth they have cars auctioned for charity. I think all the wealthy people should do more for charity than just bid at a auction so they can be recognized. Its a small population that are so wealthy. Wonder who got them so
