Bumper issue
 

Hey me here again. I have a warp in my saleen front bumper, I was wondering if you guys no a way to get it out? so its straight and normal looking again cuz it makes my car look retarded. The material is.. sorta plasticy? polyurethane perhaps? very flexible anyways.

The cold treatment ie dry ice. Wow that is quite the curve. Kidding on the dry ice but good luck sir.

I'm not sure if this will work, but maybe a heat gun to heat it up then form it straight again. I'm not sure if that will work or if it will just make it worse.

maybe try a heatgun as stated above, and then try to brace it with a thin peice of metal. i've heard of ppl with the cobra R lips doing the same thing in order to keep the shape proper. good luck :tup

The heat gun is the way to go. If its a genuine Saleen bumper then its polyurethane - exactly like mine. I just bought a used Saleen front bumper for my daughers Mustang. They guy sold it for 50 bucks because of a warp in the bumper almost exactly like yours - heat gun will work but its gotta get REALLY hot. And have an oven mitt handy - you'll know when its time to use it. Just so you know the heat gun will not only heat the bumper making it maluable so you can manipulate the bumper back into shape but it also shrinks polyurethane slightly - picking up the slack in the bumper. If you know anyone with an oven (the kind they put cars in after painting them) thats a better way to go than the heat gun method. Good luck.

Heat gun will do wonders,but you will have to be careful,or you will damage the paint.Keep it back 5 to 6 inches(depending on how hard it blows the hot air,every gun is different),and do a side to side motion.Don't be afraid to check to see how soft it gets.Sometimes the plastics materials will go back to it's proper shape on it's own,sometimes they need help.Take your time,and your paint should be alright.

Sorry guys I havn't started it yet, I'm on vacation in Florida right now and will be back to my baby in a matter of days. I'll keep you all informed haha
