Alot of this type of trash talk is all in fun however some do take their car manufacturers more seriously than others.
I have a friend who had a 1939 dodge hotrod with a GM engine. At some show and shines the dodge people would not let him park with them because of his engine.
Everyone know the Mustang is boss and there is a model that proves it!:tup

very well put. when i had my gt/cs, as soon as my exhaust was heard, haters had me on missile lock, and had to gun it past me, no matter where i was.

i even had an older guy in a N/A imprezza wagon give me the thumbs down at a light. i asked him what his problem was, and i was told to f*ck off. i figured he must have dated some guy with a mustang in high school or something, and it ended poorly.

the ricers i find are the worst of them all, and, will drive like complete assholes just to prove they have an exhaust you can hear with your windows up. i drive a BMW as a daily, and i find the civic sir's, and the vw owners really have a hate on for my ride.

even my wife, after she bought a wrx, had a bit of a hate on for my car, and she used to take it to work once in a while before. let em hate. i've owned alot of cars, from across the spectrum of makes, and i can truly say i can tolerate them all.

except that new camaro, what a raft. it's like tupperware on 4 wheels. lol

Its funny how people develop a loyalty to a certain brand, company or etc. So funny in the car world that they have to tell the worl about how they "killed" a Mutang by 3 car lengths etc. Reading some of the kill stories on the competitor boards and even other Mustang boards is funny.

I think its funny seeing all the internet tough guys that drive rice commenting on youtube Mustang videos and are like "my civic would kill that Stang" or my favorite is "my buddy has a 1000hp Supra". Like really, beat it. You probably drive a 95 Civic Hatchback with a Canadian Tire muffler on it and your buddy's 1000hp Supra is on Gran Turismo.

I think its jealousy. And partly because the 5.0 is a legend in itself. Ford beat everyone with it in the Trans Am series, then the whole Fox Body Mustang craze and some people built some monsters out of those little cars and now Ford is outrunning the 6.2L Camaro and the 392 Challenger with a 5.0. I'd be a hater too if I shelled out what the new Camaro and Challenger cost and got my ass handed to me by a guy in a GT 5.0 he paid 35 grand for.

X2 on both accounts.
And for me I guess it's the bankrupcy thing too. I'm more forgiving of Chrysler on that note just due to the size of the company. But GM once being the world's largest company going bankrupt? Then copying the retro Camero concept after our '05 came out doesn't sit well with me at all.

One good thing though. We wouldn't have the Coyote (certainly not as soon as we did) if the Camero SS hadn't come out one-upping the 4.6L

:tup When I was shopping for a GT I really wanted a 5.0. I was happy to discover that they brought it back and made up my mind that it was 5.0 or no go. I test drove some 4.6 stangs and they were nice but loved the HP the Coyote was packing. End of day the Mustang was the original pony car and has never ended production unlike out friends over at GM and Chysler

Totally agree! I love the 5.0 Coyote Mustangs.
