Can you Remove the paint from factory rims?
 
So ive got a set of bullits on my car Id love to take all the paint and CC off and polish them up but how can you get the paint off without damaging the rim? a sandblaster or glass beading cabnet will pit the rim i dont want that and sanding off the paint well....... you know how that is .........paint removers i havent played with much. i havent found any tech articales on this do you guys know of any?

i have used paint strippa (real name) on other stuff and it worked pretty good.

i didnt think a bead blast would pit them.

has anybody ever tried this? i can seem to find anything on it (modular depot and moddedmustangs)

if they use a plastic media for the blasting it shouldnt do squat to your rimsthumb:

i glass beaded my pony rims and it didnt pit them at al.. if it did the paint filled it in

They are Powdercoated from the Factory. Glass Beads wont dent them. You only have one choice, dip them in a special Powdercoating stripper that will not eat Aluminum, you are looking at big bucks.
