Capri Tires (TRX)
Hey,
Sorry to those who have read this in the other thread, but I figured it might be good to post it here, as it looks like it is more active. I am trying to find replacement tires for my 1983 capri crimson cat. They are 220/55 R390 TRX michelins. I checked both tirerack and discount tire and none of them seem to have the correct size (in fact if I search by car, they don't even have a record of a capri in 1983...). If anyone has any ideas for where to find some, please let me know ~HB |

I don't know how much you know about the tires, but from my research... Michelin sold the molds for the tires to a company call Coker Tire, they have website https://store.coker.com/ , they do appear to have them... but they are 417 dollars each (AMERICAN)... plus shipping. I've talked a fellow from tirerack, and he pretty much told me it would be practically better to get custom wheels made (the capri [at least the crimson cat], has four bolted wheels). I really don't want to get custom wheels put on the cat, for money reasons $$$ and more so that the cat is rare... and the TRX wheels were a major part of what made it special. If anyone else has any ideas where I could find some, let me know. I really don't like the idea of having to drive on tires that was 16 or 17 years old. YEP. |
Ordered my new set of 220s from coker yesterday for a frightening price ^^
