Cold Air Filter
 

Has anyone put a cold air filter on that they like I have a 2012 V6 which needs some more growl. Any chance a dealer would do it

I'd go with something like this, you may have a tough time getting a dealer to install one though. If I were you I'd also look into a lower gear ratio at the same time as that would really wake your car up.

Stick with non metal cold air kits. The metal tube really gets hot at the touch, no lie, and warms up the incoming air, which is more prone to happen in traffic or if just used as a cruiser. If you plan to do some drag racing, the metal tubed cai kits are fine since all you do is a few passes at a time, so it will have time to keep cool some what, but in day to day traffic, forget it.
Like already stated above, the Airaid is good, or even the JLT kits, or K&N kits as they use plastic/abs tubing.

I agree 100%, I never was a fan of the metal ones. I have had several K&N units and was happy with them.

I don't think a dealer would do it - not sure if you want them too either. A tune is typically required and you DEF want to tune it. Otherwise you're just throwing your money away.

Lots of chatter about tunes and warranties. Not sure I've seen a conclusive answer though. Anyone had a warranty issue with a tuner and cold air intake?

^ any time you deviate from factory parts and programming you jeopardize your warranty. It all boils down to what type of issues arise down the road.

like mentioned stay away from metal

That really sucks too, cause anybody I've talked to said the tuners make a very noticeable difference.
