What exhaust system are you running on your Mustang?

thepunisher 11-01-2004 07:43 PM

mto502 11-02-2004 05:15 AM

2 chamber Flowmasters catback with X-pipe.

AIRRIDE 11-02-2004 05:09 PM

2 chamber flowmasters

Clean_5oh 11-02-2004 05:28 PM

I have MAC all the way back.. and I would trade the Mufflers for Flows anyday.. I had 2 chamber on my last one. and I loved the sound..

Not to say back is bad. they sound great to... Nothing LIKE the sound of a 5.0.. I think we can alll agree on that. :tup

Stang6589 11-02-2004 10:24 PM

I run 2 Chamber Flowmasters on both my cars.
But I have heard the MAC exhausts on my cousins stock 86 and it sounded pretty good. But yea FLOWMASTERS are the best.

MUSTANG GUY 11-03-2004 03:33 AM

Flowmaster 40 series 2 chambers with the stock H pipe with 2 of the bottom cats removed. I ordered a UPR X pipe on Saturday tho and it will be in in 10 days. Gonna put it on when the stangs back from storage.

FLOWS ALL THE WAY!

LX-Markham 11-03-2004 09:41 AM

i've got the magnaflows.
they are okay, depends what you want.
these are fairly quiet, but sound great at WOT.

Crazyone 11-03-2004 10:59 AM

2 chamber flowmaster with a Bassani X pipe. The sound rules! :)

BlackGT 11-08-2004 12:15 PM

Wheres dynomax on your poll, or hooker for that matter ?

diggyd 11-11-2004 05:37 AM

I have Mac Longtubes, Prochamber H-pipe, and 3 Chamber Flows, with 3.5" tips...car can be quiet at lower revs (below 2000) for when popo's are around, but when you get on it it sounds awesome!

TC89LX 11-11-2004 03:39 PM

Currently dual 3.5" Hooker Aerochambers. Before that Dynomax Welded Ultraflows.

hahaha I think your links kinda down

I installed Magnaflows. Did a lot of research on this. I am fairly pleased with the quality of the parts. The system is pretty quiet and doesn't attract the attention of "the man". They sound good when you stand on it.

Same here. My full exhaust is Mac equal shorties, Pacesetter off road X, Dynomax cat back piping using Magnaflow "wide open" muffs.

It sounds really similar to a crotch rocket going down the track.. really goofy and high pitch. But nice though.

Bubba_Lane 12-23-2004 11:08 AM

ive got a magnaflow catback (still breaking in), stock H, gonna be getting an slp off road x pipe pretty soon and leaving the headers stock for now.

89stangman 12-23-2004 01:19 PM

I've got 2 chamber Flows

j-roc 12-23-2004 07:58 PM

Magnaflow catback here, got tired of the 2 chamber drone. Just need a new X pipe, Flowtech was trashed.

berry_picker 12-24-2004 02:36 PM

h pipe and flows

x pipe and magnaflow or borla stinger.

My cousin has the dr.gas o/r x and the borla stinger catback on his 03 Cobra and it sounds so sweet. Loud as hell too but not as droney like the flows.

Dynomax? I didn't know they made anything worth running on Mustangs.

And hooker, don't they make headers rather than complete exhausts?
