Exhaust and hp advertising

How do they not get sued. My particular MagnaFlows state 17hp and 10tq on the dyno for the GT500. I also checked on my 05gt and it was 20hp and 19tq. Is this possible or is it strictly false advertising.:D

I,ve wondered this as well, although the regular gt's dont advertise that much for gains.

You will gain something seeing that the stock exhaust system are not the best when it comes to bends, and size, though they have gotten better since '05 with the mustang.

I could see those gains on a pre 05 car and a catback but I can't see how it would be possible with axle back on a 05 and up.

I think you have to read the small print - I think it's like the old days where the car companies used to sandbag thier horsepower ratings. You know - they'd advertise a lower number for the insurance companies, but they'd get the number by loading down the test engine with all sorts of accesory's, so yes it was a true number, but only under certain conditions. I think the advertisements for these power adders are a lot the same - they'll advertise these great numbers, but you'd have to have this ideal setup to actually get them. That's what I always thought.
