Very, very rare. This ^^^ is a member from GTAMC. His board name is Blackstang.

He has one of the nicest Mustangs I've ever seen.

Thats one sweet ride.

Lx notch ftmfw!!!!

I've owned 15 foxes and 1 triple black SN95 and notches are the tightest, smallest, quickest and lightest one out there. Until u drive one consistently, you won't understand.

Robman420 11-20-2010 10:33 PM

I voted notch too for the simple reason its the lightest, simplest outta them all.

1ZINCVERT 12-02-2010 05:35 PM

LX hatch..... Ive owned 2 but Notches are growing on me

2tone 12-02-2010 06:59 PM

There are some great deals on LXs out there.

Stang6589 12-02-2010 08:47 PM

I have a soft spot for the LX Coupe. I had one for 4 years, I miss it even though I got into trouble with that car. Hey Rick you remeber that night?????LOL

SNAKEBITE 12-03-2010 03:29 PM

Wow gt is in second place

Breakinparts 12-25-2010 05:15 PM

Breakinparts, we've got to get together for a cruise night sometime this summer and talk Mustangs. I'm in Smithville, only 15 -20 minutes away.

As far as my vote, I voted for the little cheapie LX notch, I like all of em, but there is just something killer looking about those cars when you get the skinnies on the front and big rubber in the back...

Dave.

Taurus8 02-15-2012 11:29 PM

IMHO the hatch just looks nicer, even though it's heavier.

I was alive back when the Fox bodied Mustang was used as a police pursuit vehicle so the notch profile brings back bad memories! :D

SNAKEBITE 02-16-2012 04:14 PM

good call and funny

roddy 02-16-2012 08:28 PM

Either way, I like the clean look of the LX over the tarted up GT any day (hatch or 'vert). For me, nothing beats the plain-jane all business look of an LX notch.

def67 02-17-2012 08:18 AM

I voted lx hatch cause thats what I used to have.. I think, lx's have 5.0's right?

SNAKEBITE 02-17-2012 03:56 PM

both the 2.3 and 5.0. Wow I know something engine wise bwah

VAEM 02-17-2012 07:09 PM

^^^ LMAO, I knew you had it in you! ;)

L/X notch all the way!

SNAKEBITE 02-20-2012 04:35 PM

I wonder what possessed Ford to put such a wimpy 4 into the Mustang, makes no sense.

streetsweeper 02-21-2012 08:17 AM

What no choice for a Capri WTF...

SNAKEBITE 02-21-2012 01:36 PM

call the complaint department lol

Don't feel bad,no option on the pre '87 GT models when the GT's had no ground effects/cladding!
I prefer the 4eyed GT's from '85, and '86.

SNAKEBITE 02-22-2012 11:34 AM

I liked everything from 82 thru 93 myself^^^

1low03gt 02-23-2012 08:27 PM

Don't get me wrong, i like the .87 to '93 models, especially since i really like the '93 Cobra's, but there is something about the '85/'86 GT's styling inside, and out. :tup

roddy 02-23-2012 11:28 PM

85-86 are definitely the best looking years for the Fox GT, followed by '82. The 87-93 GTs never really did it for me.

I agree. I prefer the LX model in 87-93 for sure, mainly the coupe.

It's funny the 4 eyed cars never used to do it for me but in recent years they have really grown on me. It makes me sad to think of how many guys have swapped 4 eyed front ends out for the newer style but 10 years ago I would have done the same. I really would love to own a t top coupe one day.

DublDee 02-24-2012 01:36 PM

I had an 86 way back when, and switched out the front end from an 87 donor car. At the time I liked the change, but yeah, like Chad I'm thinking now I would love to own a four eyed pony.

roddy 02-24-2012 06:39 PM

I had an '85 5.0 LX coupe (notch) back in the day, and that will always be my favorite Fox. I've never been big on the Fox droptops either, with one exception...the "7UP" cars. I don't know if it is the colour combo or what, but they look really sharp. The T-top coupes are very rare. There used to be an '82 (I think) coupe around here with a carb'd turbo 4cyl and T-tops...cool car.

That would be a GLX rare car.

I was one of those guys that were on the anti swap with the facias on the 4eyed foxbodied stangs LOL!
They are finally earning the respect they deserve. It took time though. Sometimes i wish i kept my old '85 GT.:bleh:

Believe it or not, just LX (not GLX...I think '84 was the last year for that). It was a 5-speed car, so it had the 4bbl carb and roller cam instead of the nasty and gutless throttle body F.I. that came with the automatics for that year. Rare car indeed...I didn't find out just how rare until after I traded it. It turns out that it was an SSP Mustang that did some service with the RCMP. Canadian SSP cars are extremely hard to come by, and the '85-'86s are almost unheard of. Traded it for a '68 Firebird back in '95 and I've regretted it ever since. Finding out about the SSP part later was like a boot in the nuts.

SNAKEBITE 02-25-2012 07:22 AM

I always enjoyed the t-top cars and never had leaking issues with mine

I also had an 85 5.0 LX briefly. It was a project car that I never got around to. 7up cars were cool, there used to be one around here.

It's funny how age, and time take there toll on us on how we think!! :D

SNAKEBITE 02-28-2012 04:45 PM

I still say for the 94-98 models they need to be modded especially the rear rims/tires re spacers

VAEM 03-03-2012 07:52 PM

^^^ x 100,000 - I'm a real fan of SN95's (clearly) but you are absolutely right SNAKEBITE - that factory rear tire spacing is RIDICULAS and needs to be corrected. Spacers or staggered rims are an absolute MUST for any SN95 owner. Once you fix the rear end tire spacing the stace really shapes up and looks good.

ChadStang 03-03-2012 09:37 PM

^ yep I agree. I've had 2 of them but never got around to it on either. 1 had 9" wheels though which made a difference.

VAEM 03-04-2012 10:11 AM

^^^ The 9 inch rims DEF help. I have staggered rims on the 5.0 (8's in front and 10's out back). 'Lil VAEM has wheel spacers correcting the problem on the 3.8.

SNAKEBITE 03-04-2012 02:22 PM

10's in the back ftw
