foxbody springs and tires

hey, I was wondering if anybody out there knew if drag springs are much different from stock springs do they lower anything or make the ride rougher, I dont want to sacrifice any driveability for drag springs the roads are rough enough with worn out stock springs, alsohow big can I go with drag radials without the quad shocks and I dont want to cut the fender lips, thanks, all parts are going on an 89 gt

Generally speaking drag springs are going to be softer than the OEM springs, Ford put enough spring rate in the 5.0L cars from the factory to try to get them to handle a bit. Ride / handling with drag springs will be similar to 4 cylinder car likely. As for how much they might lower the car, that I can't say.

cheers

Don't think they lower the ride really. There are guys out that have cut their drag springs to get the ride height they wanted, but i don't know how much that effected the rate of the spring though.
