front end vibration
 
hey im a new user have a tech question if someone can answer
i have a sevre frontend vibration and cant seem to resolve the problem.
vibrates the hood dashboard and sterring wheel. took it to the shop front end fine and no trouble with tranny starts at 100 k gets worse at 120 and starts drive out at 135 to 140 this is really driving me nuts nay intput would be great..

worn tire rods uball joints tire not balanced properly alignment. I am not mech knowledgeable but

how about the tires......bad belts.Not uncommon really.

all tires checked for balance and belts everything bang on. i was thinking shocks maybe, my mechanic is baffled by this the whole front end is in very good shape he tells me he was thinking shocks as well maybe the springs are taking all the weight he thinks...??

It sounds like a seperated or unbalanced tire or bent wheel to me but shouldn't have anything to do with shocks or springs. I'd have another shop look at wheels and tires.

well the vibration is gone i had to do a wheel on car balance. the front rotors w'r not balanced properly or out of balance..thanks for all the input guys

Were those Crappy Tire made in china rotors? A few years ago we got some new rotors for the daughter's car and soon found out they were warped...brand new! Crappy Tire wanted to turn them for free. Huh?...no, you can replace them for free. I always buy premium rotors now.
