Garaging your baby...

I did a quick search and didn't see any immediate matches, so...

This year is the first year I'm going to garage my Mustang for the winter, so I was looking for member tips on what works well for keeping her in the best shape for her return to glory in the spring.

What I know and am doing..
- fuel stabilizer
- fogging oil
- putting her on blocks

Are there any other tips / tricks that people may use?
I am curious and want to go with the best options out there...

I don't bother with blocks. What I do though is make sure the gas tank is filled to the top and add a bottle of Chevron Techron. Change the oil an filter prior to storage. Have the car washed and use detail spray to touch up the wax. The the final step is to put on the car cover. My vehicle is garaged in the winter.

you want to make sure there's not moisture of any sort in the garage, and it helps to keep the air moving with a fan of sorts, i'd take the battery out and put it on a piece of wood in the basement if you've got room, i know i've killed a couple batteries by leaving them out in the car over the winter.

Stabil pull battery cover kaput till May. I change the oil syn once out of winter storage (garage Alberta bone dry). It is way to easy out here.:tup

1) stabil in the tank and run the car so the stabil goes through the whole fuel system

2) top the tank right up

3) bump up the tire pressures about 5psi higher than you run on the street

4) cut four 2' x 1' planks of 1 inch plywood and park the car on the planks....stops moisture from working it's way up the concrete floor to the car's underside

5) leave the car in gear - no ebrake.....the older Stang ebrakes used to seize...so why chance it

6) remove the battery....put in on a wooden shelf in the basement

7) give the car a full detail and put a quality cover on her and forget about her until Spring

-Change the oil again in the spring
-stuff rags in the exhaust pipes (keeps any critters out)
-put a box of opened baking soda in the car, helps absorb any moisture
