headlight gaskets

My daughter's 2000 Mustang (V6) headlight gaskets are falling apart. She bought new headlights about a year ago but the gaskets were not included. Does anyone know were you can find these or are they really necessary. she does drive it all year long.

Is it just the rubber that goes around the outside of the light? If so I think it just fills the gap between the body and the light.

Not sure what you mean by headlight gaskets but you might want to try the site below;

I think they serve the purpose of preventing rain from being forced in behind the light assembly while driving. In the AM video they show that the light should be sealed before installing. perhaps this is their way to solve the issue of not using the headlight gaskets. I thought i could fab up something to replace them but was checking the members before i tried to do this. I also tried the junk yards but most of the gaskets are worn out there too.

its more of a fender gasket that goes on the fender not the headlight but it finishes off the gap between the fender and the headlight.

If this is what you are referring to the seal that should have come with the light kit (see LMR link below) then as Chad said, if you email or call the guys at Late Model Restoration they may ne able to et you the seals.
