Headlights...OEM or Aftermarket

In the market for a pair of new headlights for a 2005 Mustang. The prices from Ford would choke a cow.....up to 550/ pair.
The prices from the various after market dealers, CJ`s American Muscle etc are far more reasonable.
I know the old tale, you get what you pay for....but in relative terms are the OEM parts that much better?
The car will not be used as a daily driver and most likely never see rain or gravel roads. Would I be unhappy with parts from the after market.
What`s your experience?

Depends what you're looking for I suppose, I've never had much interest in aftermarket headlights.

Better or worse can be fairly subjective, I think the aftermarket might offer you a different look, depending what you're going for...

I would play devils advocate and say that once you factor in exchange/customs/possible UPS charges etc, the $550 OEM's might not be that far off the mark.

I'm blatantly biased to OEM for fit and finish reasons alone, so take that for what its worth.lol

Check with Dom's in Courtice...chances are they'll have some damage free used OEM ones.

For what you are doing I think the aftermarket ones would be just fine.

Bought them for my 2003 from Canadian Tire Burlington. They had them in their warehouse. $93.99 each side in 2015. Cheaper than Ford and fit perfectly.
