help me find turbos...

Hey guys,
looking for two T3 turbos, used and for a good price. If anyone has a line let me know. I recently changed my mind on my TT set up and decided to go T3 instead of IHI and now I'm scrambling.

Have you checked on Turbomustangs...there's usually some for sale on there.

Yeah, and no T3s. Lots of bigger ones though. The only ones on turboford right now seem to be IHIs all of a sudden too

The ultimate budget 5.0TT build-up. Had always thought this would work, but after reading a similar build in an OLD MM&FF article I decided I'll give it a shot.
Since welding is not something I can do I had to source out that part of the build, Jeff Carrol at ponydown got the job making me his Stage One TT headers and downpipe kit. Due to the lower flowing Stage 1 headers, and the fact you can find them super cheap, I was going to use two IHI turbos but both the deals I had going for IHIs fell through so I took this as a sign that my build was meant to have T3s. Got me a beat up 2 into intercooler at a scrap will, will need to spend about $100 to have it cleaned out and any leaks fixed. Picked up a 12:1 Kenne Bell FMU for $65. All I need now is a set of 24lb injectors and two turbos and I'm basically ready to put it all on. Gonna a hook a bleeder up to the FMU to make it adjustable and borrow a wideband until I can buy one for tuning and keep her speed density :)
It'll be neat when it's done....with the 24s and the FMU I'll safely be able to run 10-12lbs of boost, which is all I would want to put through a bone stock 5.0 anyway...

What do you think?

Thanks guy, I'm not a member though. Would you mind PMing him and asking if he would seperate the turbos?

I think you'll find it difficult to find a pair of T3's for a reasonable price due to their popularity for DIY TT builds. I was originally going to go that route until I found an awesome deal on a Holset. My current build cost is $650 and that includes the turbo, intercooler, all the hotside pipe, BOV and wastegate. Fortunately I have a TIG welder so I can fab everything up myself.

There's a complete TT T3 setup for $1600 on http://rpmclassifieds.com/ Go into "Parts-Race Car" and you'll find it. The guy's name is Jeremy Wells and you can reach him at 519 551 6332. Good luck! BTW I've got a set of 24# injectors with spares, if you're interested PM me.
