help me pick a wheel finish

Gonna be purchasing a set of 18x9/10.5 "deep dish" bullit style wheels, and I can't decide what finish I wanna go with. I drive a white 97gt with dark tint all around, so I thought that black with a polished lip would be the way to go for sure. But the chrome ones just look soooo niiiice. Just don't know if they'd be too "bling" for my car. What do you think? Oh, and also, what do you think about just a polished finish?
If anyone can photochop these onto a white sn95, that'd be cool. But I'm sure I can find a million pictures if I just search around.

Go chrome w/10.5" rear, looks sick on a white car-trust me. Here's a pic of my '01, maybe someone (White_Snake?) can photoshop my wheels on your car.

Not the best pic, but if you can post a pic of your car-it'd be easier, I have a bunch of pass-side pics.
Black wheels look cheap IMO-no matter what colour/kind of car.

that does look good man. just worred that chrome will 'wash out' with the white body of the car. Don't have any pics right now, but maybe I'll get some up when I get back home.

I do something for you tomorrow.
i will find any sn95 and throw wheels on for you.

wes do you have an angle picture of your car, for some reason im having trouble finding a good white sn95 ...

Wes 07-29-2007 04:25 PM

what kind of angle do you need? I'll go take one...

White_Snake 07-29-2007 04:59 PM

one that would be about the same angle as the rims you shown. in your first post.
Preferably a good quality big picture.

Black with the white is a nice look!

Wes 07-29-2007 06:20 PM

This is the best I can do right now...not sure how else to angle it. Can't find any "head on" pics of the wheels unfortunately.

Try to get one the exact angle as mine, then Warren should be able to do it.

Wes 07-30-2007 06:03 PM

I'll work on that, but I think I might just order the chrome anyway. I've searched around enough that I know chrome looks good on white cars. Thanks for the offer though! BTW, who's the manufacturer of the ones you've got?

Ponyryd 07-30-2007 06:45 PM

Autumn Fleet Sales, I've also heard that Wheel Replicas is good. Mine were nice, but had a few "spots" in the chrome, almost like a small spec of dirt under the chrome plating, I never noticed until I polished them and the "spots" caught my cloth, there was only maybe 2 spots per wheel, I just put a dab of clearcoat on them and never noticed again. I heard that 2koolperformance is a good place to deal with for wheels.
