Hood paint bubbling - help/advice needed!

I have a 2012 Ford Mustang V6. The paint is bubbling on the hood and the trunk lid. I first noticed it under the hood and then it to the top. Its gets worse every month. Apparently, people have gotten the hood repainted, but the bubbling resurfaces again. Seems to be a problem with the aluminum itself. Being on different forums, this is a common problem and Ford is not taking any responsibility to fix it. I'm a first-time Ford owner and I'm very disappointed. Can anyone advise on how I could get this taken care of?

Man, I hate to be obnoxious right out of the gate , especially for a new member, but I got a bit of a problem with people who give the impression that the only reason they signed up was to either sell stuff, or rant about problems their having that won't get fixed by Ford.
its not that I don't sympathize, but seriously. With all that aside, lets talk about your first post. First up you could start your own thread instead of high jacking this one. Second, if you do decide to hijack a thread, at least hijack one thats the same topic....this one was about fiberglass hoods in winter, not aluminum hoods with bubbling paint. Unless you get a fiberglasss hood to solve the issue!

Hood paint bubbling - help/advice needed!

I guess you're right.... I apologize. I wasn't certain if I should start a new post or continue one where this issue was brought up.

Also, I love the stang, I was just seeking direction and relaying frustration in dealing with Ford....

Sorry about that, kind of spun off, goodness knows I'm no angel when it comes to hijacking and derailing threads. The hood bubbling thing I've seen on forums before, its frustrating to spend that sort of cash and then have problems like that. So, being a 2012, I'm guessing that you're out of warranty and the dealership didn't do anything to help with the problem. Maybe post up some pics and folks can get a better idea on where to point you to a solution?

Alrighty, set you up with a new thread of your own, might get some more attention, my apologies for getting on your case, that was not great way to welcome a guy thats having some frustrating issues and came looking for some help and advice from fellow owners. We got a good, smart buch here, hope you find your answers and stay while.

I had the same problem with mine two years ago. I took it into the dealer and they repainted the hood no problem under the paint warranty. Now there isn't even a hint of a problem and the body shop did some excellent work.

Yah, he never bothered coming back, totally missed my apology and everything. Too bad, the answer was out there.
