Racing didn't cause this. This is very comon issue with the 4.6L 2V head. This happens to guys just driving like a grampa on a sunday after noon. What happens is the threads get stripped out, and to the fact that the Ford engineers designed the head with very little threading material for the plugs. :)

A friend had the same happen to his Ford truck, about 10 minutes from our place. He pulled up in the driveway with that awful exhaust sound coming directly from the engine. Not sure what motor he has in that truck.

I agree. It's on the back of my mind on what i want to do. Aluminum heads scare the sh!t out of me for this simple reason, always have!

Yeah, common in them aswell. It's the design in my opinion.

We always knew when people were coming in for this repair as it sounded like a helicopter was landing in the front parking lot.
