I want a new 2015 Mustang GT, is it drivable in the winter?
 

Hi,

I live in Montreal and test drove the 2015 Mustang GT and I fell in love with the noise and power.

I want to know what peoples experience is like driving a GT in the winter here in Canada? Is it doable and safe or do I have to park it for 4-5 months.

I have a truck which I plan to keep but at the same time I don't want to splash all that money on car to drive it 2/3 of the year.

With a good set of tires and a little weight in the trunk I don't see why you couldn't drive it. There are certainly people out there that do.

+3, cars are built to be driven year round, just because you buy a Mustang doesn't mean you have to park it in the winter, you just have to be a little smarter in how you drive it. You're spending your money, who gives a crap what anyone else says about how or when you drive it, other peoples opinions are just that - opinions. And much like a certain body orifice. everybody's got one. Trade the Honda Pilot on a real car (i.e.:Mustang) drive on, and welcome. Post pics when you take delivery.

Its all about what you wanna do with it. Personally I would never because winter in Canada beats the crap out of cars. That's just me though, good winter tires and careful driving and your all good.

Can you? Yes, but I'm agreeing with Milner on this one. My 07 still looks brand new underneath because it never sees snow and or rain.

Its all about what you want to do with the car. In my case...ill be buried with mine, so I want to keep it mint.

I'm in a different boat than most, I didn't spend 40g's not to drive it. But if its really nasty out I'll take the truck. A little snow and ice isn't going to hurt it and the traction control actually works really well.

To each his own, salt snow ice and rain all over time prematurely end a cars useful life. Although I bought mine for strictly spring and summer, and my daily driver is the all weather vehicle. Not to mention cleaning snow and ice off the car kills the finish over time. Such is life in good ol Canada
