To krown or Not to Krown (rust proofing)

Just picked up a new 2019 mustang GT and was wondering if I should get it rust proofed. It's just a summer car and will be stored in a non heated garage. Just wondering if it's worth my time to spray it cause i would like to keep it clean without having it all oily if i dont have to.

Congrats and welcome, I'd say it all comes down to personal choice.

I've done the same thing with my 2016 since new......summer driven, non-heated storage, and no rust spray.

It looks as good as showroom all around, no rust, maybe a little dust, and no mess from the rust spray......your choice really.

If you're only driving it in fair weather, I wouldn't sweat it. I bought mine new in 2007, and only drive it in the warmer months. I did not oil it, it now has 60,000+ km on it, and it looks like new.
