Leaking water?
 

I drive a 2001 Mustang Bullitt with 100,000km on it.
I noticed when I leave my parking stall for lunch ther is a wet spot on the pavement below my engine. So when I came back I did what any car guy would do and I got down on one knee, I sniffed it , then I tasted it. Doesn't really smell and tastes like water??? This has continued to happen for the following week and I can't figure it out. Fluid levels are all good I do run my defrost but even without the defrost on it still happens??? Any thoughts?

Are you running your A/C? If so, all vehicles do that...it's no big deal.

Not running the A/C at all... Never turn it on

If its water I'm guessing just condensation.

Might be more helpfull if you can say exactly where it leaves a spot under your engine.
Front could be coolant from the rad, or hoses, intake gaskets, or the water pump as some do leak from a little hole on the under side of the pulley spout,or even the overflow tank. Rear could be the heater core lines to engine, and again.... the intake gasket.
If the A/C was on, it would leave a wet spot in the same place where the heater core lines would leak.

Is it really sweet? That would be coolant. Then again it could just be a rodent peeing under your car...mmmmmm

Just curious.....did you get this problem solved?

I think some Fords run the A/C when you use the defrost so the compressor it doesnt seize up. I have noticed with my Ford Ranger that the A/C runs even with the knob turned to bi level, could explain the wet spot.....
