Looking for a place to wrench

I'm new to Vancouver as a student from the states. I brought my 01 cobra with me to sit in the garage all winter. I need to get it registered soon so I can insure it. I need to get under it and tighten the midpipe to manifold bolts. I have a leak and it's causing a CEL. Let me know if anyone can help me out. I have all my own tools, but I couldn't fit my jacks or stands in the car on the drive up from L.A. My cobra is fully track prepped N/A, will trade garage time for a ride and beer or cash, or if you need any work done.

Welcome nice Cobra.

Have you thought of looking into a u-wrench shop? I know there is one here in Calgary with hoists and a paint booth! There may be something similar in the lower mainland.

Welcome to CMOC, nice ride. I would love to help, but I'm on the other side of the country. Try looking for a Mustang club around Vancouver, you may find a local member that would be willing to help you out. Good Luck.

I looked into those before resorting to asking total strangers for help haha. It's a lot to ask of someone. The closest one is 1 1/2 hours away and my car is now unregistered and uninsured. I trust myself, I don't however trust the demographic of drivers in B.C.

I would try to send you to my brothers but he's a woodworker and you would have to move a few thousand board feet of lumber just to get into his garage! I wish you the best of luck.

Alright well it looks like there is no one in the area with an open space. Can anyone recommend a shop? I'm not taking it to a tire and brake place. A high end sports car shop would be preferred and I plan on negotiating to do the work myself. No one has touched my car before, and I don't plan on changing that.

Went ahead and bought a jack and stands and did it in the apartment garage. Against policy but didn't get caught, all is well. Thanks anyways guys.

Attaboy! Reminds me of years ago when I lived in an apartment in Vernon BC, I got caught changing a transmission in my old Dodge 4x4 and the manager told me that I wasn't allowed to do any major mechanical. I told her I wasn't, I was just changing the transmission... She didn't know what to think about that so she said "As long as your done by the end of the day then I guess it'll be ok."

Nicely done, moving to Canada from L.A. should save you a ton of cash on bullet hole repairs and riot/fire damage. lol

Lol, I never had any issues. This place is stupid expensive as far as gas, insurance, and getting upgrade parts from the states. Definitely an adjustment.

I think I'll stay and pilferage more Canadian women haha. The cobra pulls way more ass here, when I can afford to drive it lol.

ha ha ha Vancouver probably has a lot less botox, bottle blondes and silicone than LA, not that there's anything wrong with those things.
