Loss in Low end Torque with New Catback!?

Hey guys, my next order from AM is coming in tomorrow and consists of some exterior goodies, lowering springs, and for the engine, a CAI and MAC catback 2.5" exhaust with 3.5" tips. I however came across a couple threads online that people were suffering some big LOW END torque loss due to backpressure change, and the engine not having the same vacumm effect due to a more free flowing exhaust. It does gain mid-high torque, but I don't want to loss any of that Low end torque seeing as my stock engine doesn't pull in enough air to make use of more free flow! Would the CAI and tune compensate for it by increasing Air/fuel ratio or will I notice it! Thanks guys!

I can't say i have noticed any difference in loss of low end torque with switching cat backs, if it is, i don't think you could tell. Maybe if you were switching to an open muffler with no restrictions at all, then i could see the loss of torque in the low end.

Alright sweet! As long as I can't feel it haha! Should I coat my exhaust system? I heard they tend to rust, especially cause BC is nothing but rain and crap weather :/

I have replaced exhaust on several of my mustangs and have never noticed a torque loss.

Wouldn't hurt to hit them with some VHT header paint. Basically that is what is on the exhaust from MAC anyways. Got your choice of black or silver, and even white too i believe.

Phew thats good to hear, don't wanna lose that feeling!

And unfortunetly LOW03, they just come an alumnized steel, not stainless and no coating from AM, but I was unaware they rust. I wanna install mine this weekend, but im worried the rainy snowy months will take a toll on it, or should I just say screw it and go for it?
