I have Steeda SportSprings with Tokico Illumina's and I like it a lot.
Visually, I got a nice drop without looking "slammed". Somebody who doesn't know Mustangs and/or cars in general probably wouldn't realize that the car was lowered, but put it next to a Mustang with stock springs and you see the difference right away! Ride quality is very good. Firm but not harsh over our EXTREMELY bad roads. I'd recommend them. |
'90 FOX BODY.................
I just went with Steeda springs, Ford Motorsport lower control arms and KYB Gas Adjust shocks...........lowered the car just over an inch with much improved handling. The coolest part is that the ride quality is far better than stock. Great combo that didn't break the bank. Three weeks ago I tried a set of FMS springs which dropped the car far too low and made it ride nothing short of horrible..........don't go there, you will not like em. Rick |
What's a set of Steeda springs cost?

Eibach pro kit :tup With KYB AGX :tup Lots cheaper than other shocks and seem to do as good a job at dampening da bounce.

I have eibach sportlines and tokicos but I would rather have got h&r race but I like a very stiff ride. The Eibachs are a lower springrate so they are a bit "softer" spring but also probably ride nicer than a stiff spring like the h&r race. (talking about sportlines)

Do you find your 60' times are hurting with the sport lines?? or are you into the twisties and high speeds? |
I dont think they are really hurting it that much compared to a different brand of spring but in handling wise they arent as good. (theyre still good and better than stock just I feel the h&r's would work even better)
You will notice this more in high speeds and twisties like you have said. |
I am beginning to think that H&R "Race" springs may be the ticket for my application ('98 GT Autoslalom, Lapping, daily driver).
Anyone know of a Canadian distributor with a web site so I can compare prices? |
