Maximum hp output before changing internals?

Vortech 2 supercharged 2003 mustang Gt. Currently at 9lbs and pushing 400 rwhp. I’ve been told I’m playing with fire. I don’t even gun this car cause I’m scared to it’ll blow and because it’s the only thing keeping me happy these days. I absolutely adore this car. It’s only got 87,000km. Garage kept etc etc. I’d love to push this beauty to 600 and beyond. Why? I honestly have no idea. I don’t race. I don’t take it to the track. I think it’s just the potential power that these beauties can produce with a forged short block internals. Other then the block, rods, pistons, what else should I change to make this car absolutely fail safe? Thanks for advice.

This would be a good place to start. Throttle body and headers would be needed as well, unless you’ve already got them.

Thanks for information. I was looking at this block a couple weeks ago as well. Curious to see how much total installation would be?

Depends on the shop I suppose. I’d guess around 10-12 hours of labor.
