so, i have found a bunch of wiring issues. this car used to have an alarm. wiring in the left kick panel is enough to make me shake my head and hope to god no one was paid to do this. anyway, field trip to princess auto today for wire, and heat shrink and a few other odds and ends.

i also corrected a few broken vacuum lines, and deteriorated rubber bits associated with them, found when removing the ac components the other day. mostly associated with pollution control, like the line to the diverter valve, and one to the intake.

was a busy week in the garage. got mustang spindles from 94, got them stripped, new wheel bearings are on the way, as well as cross drilled slotted rotors, hawk pads, and new callipers. i have also sourced an explorer 8.8 to scavenge the disc brakes from, and a prop valve to suit as well. i will get the same rotors as the front, which should perform better, and, will look pretty cool with the open 5 spoke rims that came on the car. callipers will get black calliper paint, just to keep them looking fresh, and rust free.

she also got an electric fan this week. i bought one at summit a couple years ago, and never used it. 16" proform, and used the derale adjustable stat. got it balanced i think quite well. comes on when gauge shows just a needle thickness above half, and shuts off a needle thickness below half. re used the stock fan shroud, it conceals the fan, and keeps it looking stock under hood.

i took a hiatus from wrenching for a year or so, and i think it was for the best. i am finding i can pick my battles better, and i have more focus, and i am able to do just a little each night. my goal is to have all mechanical work done for spring, so when i get it painted, there will be no more major work for a while. untill funds allow for control arms, coil overs, braces, frame connectors, and a paxton. lol.
