MUSTANG GUY 07-13-2006 07:28 AM

I get all my parts and work done at a members off the GTAMC's shop now, he does some amazing work and treats my car like its his own.
My 0.02$ about steeda.ca is that it is a very good parts shop, I have been treated very fairly by both Pat and Paul, Paul tuned my car and I am very happy with the tune; I will continue doing business with steeda for days to come; however as much as I do not want to get into it, there installation shop will never touch my car again. Im still in the process of having my installations fixed from last year that were installed by Mike.

I do realize happens at shops BUT it all depends and matters on how and if the shop fixes the that happened. This is why I will not deal with Mike again.
As far as Dasilva Racing goes I think Joe is a very good guy, he has done alot for me. He has gone as far as to go home, take a part off his own car and put it on my car so my car doesnt sit at his shop for 2 days till the new part comes in from the states.
I have not ever dealt with Nicks but I hear nothing but good things about him and his shop.

Like I said. I only deal with one person for installs on my car for the past bit and will from now and thats Rick

Better than the communist regime we all know of. Not to mention, wouldn't you rather know all the horror stories from certain shops? One day you and Steeda may not have such a rosy relationship, and I'm sure you'll have some choice words.

I think that being a sponsor shouldn't entitle you to protection, your service and reputation for doing things right should be your only shield from criticism.

If I would have been able to read both positive and negative comments about Joe DaSilva before I had my initial work done there I would not be in the position I am in now, 4 years later and still paying for his mistakes (lack of knowledge).

He butchered my car and it has cost me thousands to have it repaired.

I have pages and pages of text on the things he did wrong but I'll just point out this one thing;
-gauging the new flywheel I gave him to put in and they don't machine it before or after = fried clutch, flywheel and buggered tranny from other mistakes = fun

I've spent between 12-15k on the car (i have a detailed sheet) and all I got to show for it is gears, exhaust and some suspension work............the rest went into fixing mistakes.

Every time I get in my car and go to shift and the damm thing won't go into gear I am reminded of my mistakes for trusting Joe.

Like I said, if I would have known I never would have went there. I only found out about all the problems with other people after talking to many other GTAMC members about their issues AFTER I had work done. Strangely, everyone I talked to seems to have tranny problems once it leaves his shop.

I'm curious why Tim's opinion on the subject has changed. Tim was in support of people being able to share their stories about certain shops unlike GTAMC but now that his shop of choice has had some problems and people are starting to talk, it's become an issue.

It's not "bashing" when the stories presented are true. You appear to be clouded with the GTAMC's definition of "bashing" which means anything and everything remotely negative, true or not, is bashing. IT'S NOT!

my opinion has changed....because I am sooo tired of all the segregation and bitching in this hobby...it never stops...always seems to be the same characters too.

I don't bash any shop while I'm out at events...so I'm not doing it here either...you want to blame somebody....look in the mirror

you guys want 500hp and a guarantee....go buy a 07 GT 500 or a Z06 or a Viper

and be careful Steve...I can call out you on credibility if you'd like :4:

I never heard squat about your issues with Steeda until after you sold your car and then this site...and if I was sitting back and PONDERING...I'd be thinking that you would'nt want to bite the hand that feeds you....but since it's not feeding you anymore...well then let em have it.

and you're trying to call me out on something like this....hah..STFU

you're right it never does, and it never will, but its the same with any hobby when you think about it.

Maybe so, but I'm still far better looking :gun: . On a side note, this thread is good for the simple fact that people can voice their experiences with certain shops. I feel that anyone with positive info should also add it in
