Autonut and I both have 4.0 cars, and ChadStang has a good point...the 3.7 and 4.0 are different animals. Both are 60 degree V6 engines (a configuration that lends itself to rasp/buzziness), but the higher revving better breathing 3.7 is even more prone to it than the 4.0. Generally speaking, baffled (stock style) mufflers, or ones that contain packing (like Magnaflow and some others) are better at killing that rasp than chambered (like MAC or Flowmaster) mufflers. Mid pipes (from the cats to the mufflers) can also make a difference...X-pipes tend to raise the pitch and buzz/rasp, while H-pipes and chambered style mid-pipes typically do the opposite.
