Negotiating on preown 2011 GT tips
 

Folks,

Found a couple of dealers around town with 2011 GT pre-owned with exact same specs. Basically the standard GT with 19 inch wheels and automatic tranny as the only options in the car. No nav, no HID, no premium trim, or anything else.

Both dealers are asking a little under $34k, one with 10000km and one with just under 8000km. I've obviously interested in the one with less mileage if everything's equal, but i figured there's more room to move on the one with more mileage. These are both pre-owned 2011 cars. right now, the dealer wtih the 8000km car actually has a lower retail asking price, not negotiated yet. I've already seen the car with with the 10000km, and on the surface, looks brand new and runs well.

What would you guys think is a reasonable offer? Not experienced in negotiating so just wanting some advise on what's a good starting price point. Of course, both dealers are trying to negotiate down, waiting for me to make an offer, but i figured it's best if i negotiated up, from say $31k or $32?

There's also documentation fee of $495, which seems rather high to me for what they are (typing things up i assume, transfer paperwork etc).

I'm paying cash, no trade in, etc.

There is good incentives on new 11's right now so I would chech that route before buying a used one. At the very least they should be able to drop a couple thousand off the price of the ones you found.

Like mentioned check for new 11's and if not start at 29 on both of the used. Good luck
