oil filter

well today when i was doing some more to yank the engine, i had to drain the oil so i could take off the oil filter, to make it easier to get at the drives side motor mount.

i was just wondering, if i should go buy a cheap filter to put back on there so nothing can get in.

i wasn't sure because the motor is coming apart to get rebuilt.

I think that would be a wise investment, $4 can save you $$$$$$?thumb:

I think it will be alright with no filter. If your really worried just put some duct tape over it, and its cheaper than a oil filter. thumb:

I'd put the old filter back on it, or get another one, unless the engine will be hot tanked then I wouldn't worry about it.

Always good to cover it with something IMO.
