Yeah they're a little more $$$ but well worth it, IMO.

Well I've thought long and hard about it but I decided to wait to see what 2014 brings before I jump the gun. I'll do a few things to the 02 and stick with it for now.

That is probably a good idea. I am still going to check out the 13 500 and if the price is right I will be on it like a fat kid on a Smartie

Whats with all the talk about 2015, and major changes to the Mustang? My sales guy at the local dealer said that I will likely be back to trade the '12 on a '15 when they come out, because there was going to be some drastic changes in the works??? Is He is full of it, or have you heard anything?

IMO I would wait until late 2013 or early 2014 before pulling the trigger on a Shelby GT500.
Waiting for me would serve 2 purposes...
1.If the rumors I have heard are true (and we all know about rumors) that a reduced power output and a global platform is going to appear in 2015. I would jump on the 2014 Shelby! After all, you will have 1 year passed to iron out all of the kinks of the 5.8 Trinity engine if there are any, and walk away with the most powerful, refined Shelby there is!
2. You will be seeing leaked pictures with power stats in early 2014, this would give you a pretty good informed opinion on if the 2015 is worth waiting for! It may be even better, but I really doubt it will have the same shape with iconic front grill and massive gobs of power we seem to expect that comes from the Shelby name plate.
That's my plan, I will be either driving a late 2014 classic shaped power house Shelby, or a 2015 50th anniversary Global IRS SVT Cobra! Have to wait and see!
