Plus Tire sizing

Thinking about replacing my stock rims with a set of 20 Inch GTR replica's on my 05 GT. Anyone know what tire size I should go with? The rims will be staggered at 20x10 in the rear and 20x9 up front.

Thanks

Can I talk you out of the 20's and go 18's instead lol

If you do something like 255/35R20 front and 295/30R20 rear, you will pretty closely match the overall diameter of the original tires. Some people seem to like to go a bit taller in the rear when they do 20s, like the Saleens for example, so you could go 255/35 and 275/35.

Ed,

Should he be concerned with any rubbing on turns or wheel well rub?

allicedout, is your car lowered?

It will be lowered soon.

255 on a 9" with the proper offset will be no issue. A friend has an 07 GT with 275/40/18 all around on 9.5" wheels, on a lowered car. Only time I've ever seen a rub was with the suspension compressed going down corner 2 at Mosport, that was on the inner splash shield, which we reshaped a bit to clear. On the street I don't think it would ever rub.
