Power Window Adjust?

Hello all ! Newb here with a question about the p/w on my 2000 GT.

The problem I'm having is the driver's window raises too much (up to 1/4") and rubs the roof when I close the door. The problem is most noticeable if I raise the window from a lowered position when the door is open and then try to shut it. Is there an adjustable "stop" to set the max raised height of the window ? If you've run across this problem let me know what can be done to fix it. If I don't get an answer by this weekend I'm gonna take the door panel, etc, off and try and figure it out and I'll report what I find.

yeah im pretty sure you will have to open up the door, wethere it is, by taking the door off, or just taking off the arm rest and other stuff on the door.
ive never done it before, and cants say that i would want to try it.
have you tred calling a dealer and just asking them?
it might be a $10 fix job.
did you buy it privite or from a dealer?

I bought it private.

I'm not trying to be a dick but to people replying (now or in the future) "you have to take the door panel off" I realize you are trying to be helpful but you're only pointing out the obvious. All I wanted to know was if there was anything I could adjust once I got in there or if the mechanism was non-adjustable and so there is no point taking it apart until I purchase part X. In other words I'm trying to avoid removing the door panel multiple times.

well, i'm sorry for pointing out the obvious. :bleh:
but did you try what i suggested and call a dealership, or even a regular garage?
it would be a 30 second phone call, and you would have your answer and probably a part# and a price, and if they are nice they might even tell you how do fix it.
