Programmer yay or nay?
 

I am currently new to the Mustang world. I currently own a 2013 Mustang V6 3.7litre automatic. Mods I have done to my car since I have purchased the car. Touren rims tr72's, carbon fibre racing stripes with monster green pin stripe, spectre cold air intake, recently added Borla atak axel back exhausts. I purchased a SCT programmer for the car just this week. Is there anyone else that doesn't notice much difference with the programmer except burning more fuel and changing the shift points ?

Welcome and congrats. Depends on how the tune is written I'm guessing, was it tune out of the box, or a custom tune?

I have a tune for both of my Mustangs. Brenspeed SCT4, one for each. The tune makes the shift points easier with the automatic and gets better benefits out of other mods you might have such as custom exhaust, cold air induction. The realigned airflow & fuel mixture also improves fuel mileage. there is also a bit of a horsepower boost. The only problem with a programmer is the cost.

Yes I agree. Brenspeed usually asks all the questions about what you have done to your vehicle in the way of modifications before they write the tune for it.

Agreed. Canned tunes are usually pretty conservative and safe so they don't pack a lot of punch.
