Pro's and Con's of 20" wheels

Hey guys, looking for some feed back on advantages and disadvantages of moving up to 20" wheels. Driving a 08 Bullitt that came stock with 18's.

Don't race at all and am kinda a fair weather just having a blast kinda driver. Kenne Bell S/C to 525hp. Question is will I be trading ride comfort for the increase in wheel sex appeal? Tread life??

Thinking of offset staggerd Enkei LS 5 Black with chrome inserts

KXWheels :

Tires I am leaning towards Falken f-452.

I would appreaciate any feed back as I have limited knowledge in this area. So far all the help you guy's have offered in the past has been a great help. Thanks in advance - D

To me 20's are pimping and seem to big on our cars. It makes the rotors look like tea cup saucers ie to small and with 20's the side wall is to small hence a rough ride. I will finish with it's your car do what you will but I'm a big fan of 18's, no bigger

I agree with snakebite. I think 18's are plenty good enough but I'm not into big shiny appeal personally.

18" and 19" look great on the S197 cars, 20" looks a bit too large in most cases IMO, as others have mentioned. You are also decreasing brake performance with the added weight of the large wheels.

cheers

I also agree that the 20s look too big on mustangs. Just an opinion though.

Not concerned with loss of power but everyone appears to be on the same page with respect to the 20's. So 18's it is. I appreciate the honest input.

I also got the slight impression the wheels may also be just a little too flashy which was not my intent. If anyone has a suggestion of a five spoke design I would be very interested in a reply. My ride is black with fairly deep tint glass and I am wanting a black wheel with a little flash. Any comments on the Falkens?

On the 05gt I had some chrome Roush 18's that I kept shiny and to me looked great. They where of the 5 spoke variety. As far as the tire selection I have had no experience with this brand. I have personally talked a few guys out of 20's and they were more than happy they went with 18's in the long tup
