pulling motor

which is the best way to pull the v6 out of my 99 ? am i better to take the engine and transmission out all as one or seperate them and leave the transmission in the car

if you don't need to pull the tranny i would leave it in.

What you doing to it now?

In my personal opinion and countless engine transplants, I would pull the engine and trans out together. Its a pain to try and line those dowels up when you are setting an engine in. If its a 5 speed its twice as bad to get the splines lined up on top of trying to get the dowels lined up. Much easier when it is out of the car. Hope my .02 helps thumb:

I second 89 notchback... I know i havent done many fords till my 5.0 but with all the dodges ,datsuns and chevs it so much easier putting tranny and motor in at once...just my 2 cents worth mike
