repair or not repair?

i own an 89 gt. i recently ripped out the rear axle pivot arms piece that is connected to the frame. is this worth or possible to repair or would it be too expensive and cheeper to just buy another car and do a motor swap? i spent 7000.00 getting the motor done and i guess the rear couldnt handle it. plus it was a littly rusty.

is the car rusty underneath? if not then it would be worth fixing.

all depends on your mig welding skills. Or your pocket book

A picture of the problem area would help, but if it's rotten, it's rotten, you need to have a good structure first and foremost, especially if you're putting power to it.

I agree. If the surraounding area of material is rotten as well you might better part out the good parts, and buy another fox. If there is good material you might be ok.

If the rest is solid, weld it in or have someone weld it up and truss it. Also, if you repair it, weld up the otherside before you rip that out too.

If you do use another car. Weld the boxes before you drop in the high HP engine.

its a better idea, just weld it up and truss it.
